WINDOW AND DOOR REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW OR EXISTING HOMES
Standards
and requirements in construction are becoming stricter. Due to the
vast improvements in building materials it is essential now more
than ever that all new construction meets the criteria for high energy
efficient homes. A high energy efficient home must have a yearly energy
consumption, for heating purposes, that does not reach 60 kWh/m2a.
Knowing that most of the energy can be lost through the windows and
doors, they are therefore the most important parts in meeting the
aforementioned criteria. Inles has always strived for perfection
across all of their product lines, ensuring that they are properly
glazed and that they meet the high requirements for energy efficient construction.
High energy efficient homes, also called "green" or "passive" homes,
have a large presence in modern construction. Passive homes must
maintain a heating consumption below 15 kWh/m2a per year. The
heat used is collected with heat pumps, from the passing of the
sun's rays through the window glazing and of course by collecting
the heat from other installed devices as well as from the body heat
of the home's inhabitants. A pleasant atmosphere is created by constant
air circulation; the loss of the heat is minimal due to this closed system.
The usage of return heat can be as high as 90%.
Windows and doors that meet these high performance criteria must have
a heat loss/gain under 0,8 W/m2K for the whole unit, heat loss/gain
through the glazing must be a minimum of Ug = 0,7 W/m2K. It is also
essential that the products are installed as per RAL instructions.
When building a "green" home, the initial investment may seem too
expensive when calculating the costs of construction, but numerous
studies show that due to ever increasing utility costs, the investment
is returned in only a few years. We must also consider that trends in
construction are constantly changing, and are getting closer and
closer to meeting the criteria for "green" construction. It is only a
matter of time until building green becomes the rule rather than the
exception. An important fact to consider is that it has been suggested
to the European Parliament, that all new construction shall use green
technology beginning in year 2011 (29th paragraph of European Parliament
Resolution 2007/2106).

PASSIVE CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATE
Two of our products have received this recognized certificate issued
by Passivhaus Institute from Darmstrad and are marked as "components
suitable for passive construction." This is the most recognized and
independent institute for passive homes in Germany. It is run by Dr.
Wolfgang Feist, the pioneer in researching passive homes in Europe.
The institute provides directions for passive construction; it also
requires that the products used in construction are manufactured
according to the same criteria and requirements.
All certified products are made of high quality components and
are the only ones suitable for passive construction. By purchasing
these certified products, we assure you that you are getting the
highest quality and highest efficiency products available and
guarantee that it will help create a pleasant and enjoyable home environment.

PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR PASSIVE CONSTRUCTION |
|
| |
LESENO OKNO ISO-110
ISO-110 is a high energy efficient wooden window that has a middle core
made from hard PUR foam. The Passivehaus Institute results show the
heat passage of the unit as 0,8 W/m2K,
which is categorizes this product as a passive construction product.
This window is triple glazed with heating passage of Ug=0,7 W/m2K and
stainless steel glazing bars which give the window even better performance.
There is also an option to use glazing with lower heat passage, which gives
better heating characteristics to the unit itself.

RAL INSTALLATION CERTIFICATE
The proper installation of windows and doors is very important. The connection
between the frame of the product and wall opening is the weakest point in
standard construction which at this moment is the most common construction style.
Therefore the proper installation is very significant and in the case of
passive construction is regulated by RAL instructions. By following these
instructions, the loss of the heat at the connections is almost zero.
Inles, as the owner of two RAL marks of quality, also offers the RAL certified
installation of our products. For proper performance of these high regulations,
Inles is cooperating with different companies and with their help performing the
training of our installation teams. We use the highest quality products only,
which are the only ones suitable for passive construction and the only ones that
can meet our high expectations. There are a lot of companies on the market offering
RAL installation of windows and doors, but they do not use the proper materials or do
not meet other important qualifications. Usually the installations preformed by these
companies are suitable for a short period of time only or not suitable at all.
Therefore we recommend, making sure that all materials used including the
installation itself are certified. If you choose Inles, we guarantee it will be
a worry free experience for you.
